Much has been written about the so-called Indiepocalypse. Because of lower and lower barriers to entry and essentially zero marginal costs, there is a great deal of downward pressure on prices. For any individual developer, frequently dropping price is the most rational short run business decision. But in the long run, that approach makes everyone worse off. Fortunately, there is a better way. If we stick together, we may be able to reverse these trends and save indie gaming.
