Creating a Queer Game: The Story and Mechanics Behind Diverse Development

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Mata and Joe discuss the creation processes of their games.

Their works are very different, and they will discuss how they feel that they have addressed sexuality and gender in their own way, what they feel is important in a game outside of a heteronormative mode, and how they feel making a queer game has (or has not) affected their development choices.

There will also be discussion of how accessible tools have helped change approaches to game design inclusion and game mechanics.
